40/33 — following this year’s lineup of romantic holiday-themed movies that you can watch from the comfort of your own home Chronology Alana Higman, a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and her family are competing to win the team’s Fan of the Year award, in a process judged by Director of Fan Engagement Derrick. The movie was filmed in the historic Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, which actually looks like it did that year. The locations that served as the Higman family store and Norma and Nick’s BBQ restaurant are also family-owned businesses in real life. I’m also not much of a Chiefs fan The Square also puts up Christmas lights, just like in the movie. There was a bit too much hype for this movie, including a “live” update during every commercial break in the movie that preceded it. To me, they’re the current evil empire of the NFL. I enjoyed this movie (They actually have some very honest players, and I use the word evil as an exaggeration.) But once again, I’m facing my obsession with watching every Christmas movie premiere on at least 5 channels. It was quite different from the usual, and there may have been snow, but no snowballs or many of the other items on the Christmas movie checklist. Tyler Hynes and Hunter King have very good chemistry, almost what I sometimes call sizzle. I thought the acting was a bit mixed The story first caught my attention with the effort to win the fan contest, and then I watched the outcome of the obstacle course at the end. Hynes was his usual steady yet carefree self. King’s character had appealing qualities, but also a certain neurosis, especially in his complete obsession with superstition. That being said, I had mixed feelings about the ending, especially after the story had built up (I realize these feelings are a bit conflicted.) As I said, I’m not a Chiefs fan, so I didn’t recognize many of the cameos, but there seemed to be a few.

Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 Summer TV Shows That Aren’t on Your Radar (2018) I live in Darby, MT, where most of this is filmed – just yesterday they filmed across the street in a field with some horses and cattle. I think the show is a pretty solid story and in the niche where Costner does his best. One thing I noticed about the first season, given my Native American side, is that it leaves you wondering who the good guys and the bad guys are – maybe both sides are good and bad. I admit it’s cool to see them filming while I’m here, the ranch is just down the road from where I’m staying and I pass them almost daily on my way to fish the Bitterroot River.
