Also i haven’t seen any red flags so far like making every man look incompetent or anything like that I feel most of the criticism of this show in the comment section seems to boil down to how unrealistic it is because of the whole Female operator thing, and I for one, a guy, don’t mind a good female led action show that is an original IP that doesn’t go and turn a male lead into a female lead. It’s entertaining even without being the History Channel show that some commenters seem to prefer Also at first I thought it was gonna be a more action-first no-nonsense show but then they kinda dove a bit into the family and I usually cringe at that, but I didn’t dislike what they did there.My only criticism is that the plot of what this specific operator group does is very story limiting, and might kill it moving past a season’s plot/villain…needs to be more encompassing so they could possibly do a new more action intensive fast paced Homeland, otherwise it risks becoming too episodic like a BlacklistPS: So far Nicole Kidman’s part is incredibly small and uneventful and could have been done by anyone else…We’ll see what the great Morgan Freeman brings to the show …But from what I’ve seen so far the show could stand on its own with Zaldana without any other A-Lister.TLDR Overall Cautiously optimistic but I like what I see so far, everything is incredibly polished and well done .

The perambulatory pacing, the languorous cinematography that asks you to look below the surface of touristy sights, the dialogue that meanders through an unpretentious and unstructured unpacking of the meaning of life, the total absence of any "bad guys," the near total absence of any outright conflict, the barest hint of any goal guiding the plot aside from the completion of a simple itinerary… A Real Pain shares all these realistic features with those earlier, more spirited, life-affirming films. Yet somehow… it doesn’t quite work.I never really got into this movie. Everyone besides the cousins ​​ played by Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin) I think a large part of it has to do with all the supporting characters (i.e. Will Sharpe’s non-Jewish tour guide, the Rwandan convert, the old couple, the sexy divorcee… the characters are all very basic, very conventional, very boring. Culkin is wonderful–a glimpse perhaps of his Succession character if Roman Roy actually cared about people–but I think that’s just a credit to Culkin’s talent; he somehow manages to transcend what he’s been given to work with.This is a decent indie film with a few good laughs, a couple of interesting ideas, a memorable tour of Poland, and a solid performance from Culkin.
